A cat named Rubble from Exeter, England is now being called the ‘oldest cat in the world’ after his hooman recently celebrated his 30th birthday. Michele Foster has been living with Rubble since she was twenty years old in May 1988. The two have been really close friends since then.
According to Michele, the long life of Rubble is due to the fact that she pampered him a lot just like a little child. Michele did not have kids of her own so she gave all her care and attention.
He’s a lovely cat, although he has got a little grumpy in his old age. He has plenty of life left in him yet, but I don’t think we will go down the Guinness World Record route as I am not sure he would like lots of people coming to see him or a fuss being made out of him. He is old now and would not like too much attention or be hassled. We would prefer if he was just left to live out his old age in peace.
The record books show that Crème Puff is the oldest cat who has ever lived. This cat was born on 3rd August 1967 and lived until 6 August 2005. The cat was thirty eight years old when he died. Rubble can surely break this record if he lives on for another few years.
When you really care about someone and love them, they can really go a long way. Michele took care of the cat just like a child.

I don’t have any children and had another cat called Meg – who passed at the age of 25. If you care about something, no matter what it is, it does last.
But due to his advanced age, the kitty also suffers from high blood pressure. The cat also needs regular medication. One of the City Vets said that Rubble was a really amazing cat and the cat is on medication for his blood pressure. But otherwise, the cat is in a remarkably good health.
Rubble also enjoyed a free check up along with pouches of Whiskas Catmilk and Felix. Even though the cat did not enjoy the medications, everyone prays that the cat continues good health.
